About Otter Point
We fell in love with Cortes after sailing here in the 70’s on a little home-built sailboat. Ever since then, we have been trying to find a way to return and become a part of this special place. Otter Point is our opportunity to enjoy Cortes and we look forward to helping you enjoy your stay here. We love it, and we are certain that you will fall in love with it also.
Otter Point is a private 3 acre waterfront peninsula surrounded by gorgeous shoreline and stunning views. Warm red arbutus trees, majestic Douglas Fir, mossy headlands, and protected waters make Otter Point a very beautiful retreat
Getting to Otter Point |
1. After leaving the ferry follow Harbour Road until it ends. 2. Turn right onto Carrington Bay Road and follow it until it ends. 3. Turn left onto Whaletown Rd. and follow it for 6 kms until you reach the junction with Gorge Harbour Road. Keep right to turn onto Gorge Harbour Rd. Note: this is a y-intersection at the top of a small rise and is easy to miss! 4. Follow Gorge Harbour Road for 1 km then turn right on Thunder Road. 5. The driveway to Otter Point is on the right about 100m down Thunder Road. Note: Our drive down to the water is 500m long and quite steep in places. Go slow and use caution! |
